SCENE INFORMATION: The credits roll on JC and Elis's favorite film, but their post-viewing discussion quickly turns heated. "I'm just saying, Mufasa's brother had legitimate grievances with the monarchy," Elis argues. JC's eyes widen in disbelief. "You can't possibly--" he sputters, lunging forward. They tumble onto the carpet, a tangle of limbs and shouted character analyses. Their bare feet push against each other, engaged in their own separate battle of arches and heels. Richard appears in the doorway, initially concerned, until he catches a snippet of their debate. "Actually, you're both wrong because--" he begins, before being pulled into the fray. The afternoon sun shifts to evening shadows as their philosophical disagreement devolves further, pants somehow discarded in the chaos, yet their feet remain locked in an elaborate dance of friction and pressure that shows no sign of resolution.
